Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs. This module provides a basic overview of the condition and how it presents.
Course Objectives
This module includes real-life video case studies which highlight the importance of speedy recognition of the hallmarks of sepsis in both children and adults. NEWS and PEWS scoring to help improve escalation of care for sepsis are also introduced. Please ensure your speakers are turned on as sound is required for the videos.
